DIVINE COMFORT
Definition:
–To soothe, console or reassure, bring cheer to.
–To make physically comfortable
–To support or encourage
–Relief
–A state of ease and satisfaction of bodily wants, freedom from pain and anxiety
Key scripture Psalm 71:21 “Thou shall increase in Greatness and Comfort me on every side”.
I prophesy into our lives that the Lord will increase our greatness, family’s greatness, greatness of your work,career, and business.
You might have seen a MEASURE but there is yet much more.
May your greatness not be stagnated, corrupted or limited.
The greatness of our children academically shall be improved in Jesus name.
Receive comfort for any area of loss, injury, pain in your life in Jesus name.
For any area of discomfort in your life be it mentally, financially, concerning your children, I speak divine comfort to you in Jesus name.
Comfort means to support or encourage.
May God release DIVINE SUPPORTERS TO OUR VISIONS, CAREERS in Jesus name.
I call forth encouragers to arise on our behalf in Jesus name.
Encouragers to help us in times when our strength is low, I call them forth in Jesus name.
Psalm 86:17
“Show me a token for good, that they which hate me may see it and be ashamed-because the Lord has helped me and comforted me”.
–May God help us and comfort us in Jesus name. Where we have been mocked, may God bring a testimony to shut the mouth of the enemy in Jesus name.
Psalm 119:50;
“This is my comfort in my affliction, for thy word has quickened me”.
Psalm119:52
“I remembered Your judgments of old, O Lord,
And have comforted myself”.
To receive comfort from God;
– Locate the word of God concerning your situation.
That word will release spiritual energy, spiritual grace and spiritual strength so that you will not be depressed.
Psalm 119:76
“Let, I pray, Your merciful kindness be for my comfort,
According to Your word to Your servant”
–May the merciful Kindness of God be seen in our lives in Jesus name.
Isaiah 40:1-2
“Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith our God.
Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem and cry unto her that her warfare is accomplished that her iniquity is pardoned.
For she has received of the Lord’s hand double for all her sins”.
ISSUES TO NOTE ABOUT COMFORT
Isaiah 49:13, “Sing, O heavens! Be joyful, O earth! And break out in singing, O mountains!
For the Lord has comforted His people,
And will have mercy on His afflicted.”
Isaiah 52:9, “Break forth into joy, sing together, you waste places of Jerusalem! For the Lord has comforted His people, He has redeemed Jerusalem.”
- GOD gives us comfort when we yield to His spirit and obey His word.
–In that difficult marriage God can comfort you.
–Over that rebellious child God can comfort you.
- The comfort of God can bring restoration and a divine turn around.
Isaiah 51:3,
“For the Lord will comfort Zion,
He will comfort all her waste places;
He will make her wilderness like Eden,
And her desert like the garden of the Lord;
Joy and gladness will be found in it,
Thanksgiving and the voice of melody.”
Isaiah 61:2,
“To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God;
To comfort all who mourn”
God can comfort a widow with a new marriage and home like Ruth and Naomi
- Comfort of God can bring healing.
Isaiah 57:18,
“I have seen his ways, and will heal him; I will also lead him,and restore comforts to himand to his mourners.”
- Comfort is what we receive in times of mourning or difficulty that enables us to carry on with the work.
Matthew 5:4,
“Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.”
- Comfort can be a reward –Luke 16:25, “But Abraham said, ‘Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted and you are tormented.”
- The HOLY SPIRIT is our COMFORTER
JOHN 14:26, “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you”

- The word of God comforts. Romans 15:4, “For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope.”
- Comfort is one prerequisite of a genuine prophecy
1 Cor 14:3, “But he who prophesies speaks edification and exhortation and comfort to men”
Prophecy should bring comfort-1Cor 14:31, “But he who prophesies speaks edification and exhortation and comfort to men.”
- When people refuse to be comforted they can make mistakes
Who are those that need the comfort of God?
–Those who are mourning
–Those who are waiting
–Those who have lost someone or something
–Those who are afflicted
